We conducted the SOD Sex Survey, a research on “the Japanese people’s sex”, again this year. In addition to last year’s topics, eg. “sex”,“sex entertainment”,“communication about sex”,“information”,“sexual transmission” and “sex crimes”, we have included findings on “changes that occur with aging.”
The findings are analyses of issues such as the differences in sexual awareness between men and women, changes by sex/age and lifestyles, and the gaps between what people actually experience and what they desire. We tend to falsely connect sex with youth, but through this research, we have learned the issues and awareness of the older generations and have made new discoveries, even as a company that does business in the adult industry.
Sex and social life are intricately related, and it is difficult to separate them. In order to maintain a healthy relationship with your partner, it is important to share your views on sex and to respect each other.
Unlike issues about eating and sleeping, the basic human need of sex is not a topic we can discuss with just anybody, and everybody has different personal worries about sex. Through these findings, we hope that people can solve their problems and raise their sex ethics by becoming aware of standard sex.
